- Do your designers follow the Microsoft XP style guide?
Each icon we produce is designed according to the exact standards provided by the Microsoft XP style guide.
- How do customers receive their icons?
Upon receipt of payment we send download instructions to our clients. The clients can then download the icons using the download link.
Format, Sizes, Colors
- What formats are included in your icon packages?
We provide three formats with each icon: gif, ico, and png. If you require vector icons then they must be ordered separately by special request at the rate of US $25 per icon.
- Do I need more than one format?
Depending on the project, different formats of icons are used. When designers work on the graphical user interface for a piece of software they use the .ico format whereas web designers use .gif or .png format.
- How many sizes are included with your icons?
We supply four sizes:- 16 x 16
- 24 x 24
- 32 x 32
- 48 x 48
- How many color depths are included with your icons?
We include two color depths: true color and 256 colors.
- I have an older version of Windows. Will your icons be compatible?
Yes, our icons will function with older versions of Windows but they are designed specifically to match the style and appearance of Windows XP.
- I don't use Windows. Will your icons work on my operating system?
The best way to verify that our XP style icons will work on your operating system is to visit the download area and try out one of our sets of free icons.

Icon Packages
- I just want individual icons. Is that possible?
We do sell individual icons. Please click here to order individual icons. The minimum purchase for individual icons is ten. Each icon is priced at US $3.
- When I buy a package how many icons are included?
The number of icons included in any one package varies since each package is unique. We do, however, supply each icon in four sizes (16 x 16, 24 x 24, 32 x 32, 48 x 48), three formats (ico, png, gif), and two color depths (true color and 256 colors).
Customized Icons
- What happens if I need customized icons?
We will be happy to produce icons according to the specification you provide. Like our regular icons, customized designs are royalty free but may not be resold, redistributed, re-licensed, or sub-licensed to a third party. (Click here to review our license agreement.)
- What is the cost for customized icons?
Including service charges and one revision, each customized icon is priced at US $35. Additional revisions are US $10. We request a minimum order of five icons and a 50% down payment. As with any of our icons, you will receive four sizes, three formats, and two color depths. (Please refer to No. 14 above.)
- How do I make a custom order?
To place a custom order you may fill out our online order form or send an email to us including:
- a list with detailed descriptions of the icons you need
- a list of the formats and sizes you will need
- a brief description of how the icons will be used
- details of any deadlines involved
We respond to customization requests within 24 hours.
- Is advance payment for customized icons required?
Yes. We do ask for 50% down on the total amount of the order. When we respond to your initial order request we will provide payment information.
- How soon do you deliver custom icons?
Our turn around time for custom icons is normally 3-7 days unless we have been asked by the client to meet a specific deadline.
- How may I pay for my icons?
We use both PayPal and 2Checkout (for Credit Card payments) for payments. Both are secure and well-known means of online payment processing.
- I'd like to pay in a different currency. Is that a problem?
Both PayPal and 2Checkout can handle payments in different currencies.
Icon Licensing
- What rights come with your icons?
All or the SP style icons we produce are royalty free however they may not re redistributed, resold, leased, licensed, or sub-licensed. (Please refer to our license agreement for more information.
